More Information
Dan Leroy became the Director of Development for the North Carolina Outward Bound School in 2014, nearly 25 years after completing and NCOBS course as a teenager. As Development Director, Dan is well-positioned to help make the life-changing Outward Bound experience accessible to everyone.

Prior to NCOBS, Dan co-founded Green Opportunities (GO) out of a long-time pursuit of projects that restore people, communities and the environment. Trained as an ecologist, he has over a decade of experience developing and managing service-based education and training programs for nonprofit organizations. Under his leadership, Green Opportunities grew from a small pilot program run largely by volunteers, to a full-fledged nonprofit organization with a staff of 20 employees in only three years.

Dan also serves as Board President at Evergreen Community Charter School--an Expeditionary Learning Outward Board school in Asheville, where he previously served as Board Secretary and Treasurer. He has worked with several education and sustainability-oriented nonprofits in various capacities since 2001.

Wildacres Leadership Initiative is connected with Wildacres Retreat, Little Switzerland, NC.
