Danielle Spratley is a program manager at MDC in Durham, where she directs the NC VetsCorps AmeriCorps program, which focuses on serving underserved and low-income veterans, military service members, and their families in North Carolina. Danielle has worked on education, racial equity, and organizational development projects at MDC, and also worked as an advocate for youth and families with Youth Advocate Program in Roanoke, VA. She tries to maintain an active study of issues involving race, gender, class, sexuality, and power, in order to incorporate an anti-discriminatory analysis into her work and life. Danielle volunteers for and skates with the Carolina Rollergirls and writes poetry.
